Conga

This is a guide for enabling Conga on your Sertifi app.

Downloading and installing the Sertifi App

  1. Navigate to the App Exchange in Salesforce, and then enter Sertifi. You can also download the app directly from Sertifi’s listing on the app exchange. Make sure you’re logged into your account.

  2. Click Get It Now on the Sertifi for Salesforce app screen in the app exchange. A popup window appears.

  3. Click Install in Production or Install in Sandbox depending on where you want to install the Sertifi app.

  4. Select that you agree to Terms & Conditions in the Confirm Installation Details popup.

  5. Click Confirm and Install. You’ll then be taken to your Salesforce instance.

  6. Click Install for All Users, and then click Install. A popup appears.

  7. Select Yes, grant access to these third-party web sites, and then click Continue.

  8. SelectYes for 3rd party access, and then click Continue. Sertifi appears in your Installed Packages section.

    Note

    In the event the installation process takes a long time, don't worry - you'll receive an email when it's complete.

Creating your backend Sertifi portal for Conga

Your Sertifi for Conga account comes with a custom backend portal. In this portal, you can access additional account settings to enhance your workflow. Once you complete the backend configuration, contact your Customer Success Manager so that you can view and manage these additional settings

To create your backend portal:

  1. Enter Installed Packages in the Quick Find search bar from your Salesforce account.

  2. Click Installed Packages in the results.

  3. Click Configure next to Sertifi ESign for Salesforce.com. A popup will open.

  4. Enter the following details in the Account Information section:

    • Account Title – enter your company name.

    • Account URL – enter your company name without spaces. This creates your custom portal URL. You'll use this URL to access your backend Sertifi portal.

    • Optional – Click Choose File to browse your machine and upload your company’s logo. The logo appears on your portal and is visible in your file sends, so all of your messaging is branded appropriately. You can also send your logo to your Customer Success Manager to update any time.

  5. Enter your Salesforce username and password in the Salesforce PUSH Details section.

  6. Optional – Click Sandbox if you’re installing the app in a sandbox environment.

  7. Copy and paste your API code in a separate window.

  8. Click Save, and then close the popup window.

(Conga) Customizing Your Settings

It's recommended to explore customizing your Conga settings, as doing so will enable you to tailor the Sertifi workflow to your organization's exact needs.

The customization process is handled differently depending on your exact setup. By default, Sertifi enables key custom settings out-of-the-box with the app. If you want to further customize these settings, contact your Customer Success Manager for more details.

If you use Sertifi for Conga in Salesforce, proceed with the following steps:

  1. Enter Custom Settings in the Quick Find search bar from your Salesforce account.

  2. Click Custom Settings.

  3. Click Manage next to Sertifi Application Settings.

  4. Click New to create a new custom setting, or click Edit to edit an existing custom setting.

  5. Use the custom setting fields table to create any custom settings. You must select Conga Embedded Integration for the app to work. For more information, refer to the Custom Settings guide.Custom Settings

  6. To finish, click Save.

  7. Now you can move on to creating your custom Conga button.(Conga) Creating or updating your custom Conga button

If you use Sertifi for Conga via the Conga button, proceed with the below steps:

  1. Enter Custom Settings in the Quick Find search bar from your Salesforce account.

  2. Click Custom Settings.

  3. Click Manage next to Sertifi Application Settings.

  4. Click New to create a new custom setting, or click Edit to edit an existing custom setting.

  5. Use the custom setting fields table to create any custom settings. For more information, refer to the Custom Settings guide.Custom Settings

  6. Click Save.

To add Sertifi to your Conga button:

  1. Locate the Conga button on your Page Layout. This is typically found on the Conga or Generate Contract layout.

  2. Click Buttons, Links, and Actions.

  3. Add the following parameters to your Conga button:

    • &SertifiVisible=1
    • &SertifiSigner1Id= {!Opportunity.Contact_NameId__c}
    • &SertifiFileName= {!Opportunity.Name}
  4. Optional – Remove any syntax in the button used for a previous esignature solution.

  5. Optional – Automate functionality in your Conga button. For more information, refer to Conga production documentation.

Adding the Sertifi button to your Page Layout

Caution

After you configure your custom settings for your Sertifi app, you must add the newly created Sertifi E-Sign button to the Page Layout. If you don't add this button to your page layout, no one can use Sertifi to send documents.

Tip

If you set up Sertifi on a custom object, the Sertifi Related List will already be present on the page layout.

To add the Sertifi button:

  1. Enter Page Layouts into the Quick Find search bar from your Salesforce account.

  2. Click Page Layouts under the object name where you installed your Sertifi app.

  3. Click Edit next to the object name.

  4. Select Buttons in the object layout card.

  5. Click and drag the Sertifi E-Sign button where you want the button to appear.

  6. Navigate back to the top of the page, and then select Related Lists in the object layout card.

  7. Click and drag the Sertifi EContracts list where you want the list to appear.

  8. Click the wrench icon. ICN_Wrench.png

  9. Select Created Date from the dropdown menu, and then click Descending.

  10. Click + in the Buttons section.

  11. Deselect New and Change Owner.

Note

Sertifi recommends customizing your layout so you see your most recent activity first.

To do this:

  1. Navigate to Setup > Create > Objects.

  2. Search for Sertifi EContract in the list of Objects.

  3. Scroll down to Page Layouts.

  4. Click Edit next to the Sertifi Layout.

  5. Scroll down to the EContract Activities related list.

  6. Click the wrench icon. ICN_Wrench.png

  7. Select Activity Timefrom the Sort By dropdown menu.

  8. Click Descending.

  9. Click + (plus sign) to expand the Buttons section.

  10. Deselect New and Change Owner.

  11. Click Ok.

  12. Click Save.

Enabling Real Time Updates

This is the final step in completing your Sertifi for Salesforce installation, and it requires Super Admin access to the Sertifi portal. If you haven't already, contact your Customer Success Manager to give your account Super Admin privileges, or contact [email protected] to make this request.

We recommend enabling real time updates so your file sends are automatically pushed to your Sertifi portal for storage.

To enable real time updates:

  1. Login to your Sertifi Portal using the URL you created when setting up your app in Salesforce.

  2. Navigate to  Administration > Account Settings > Real Time Updates.

  3. Change the update type to Salesforce OAuth2.

  4. Enter an email address in the Failure Notification Email field.

  5. Select the Instance type, and then click Connect. A new tab opens.

  6. Enter your Salesforce credentials.

  7. Click Allow.

You’ve successfully installed and set up your Sertifi app for Salesforce. You’re taken back to your Sertifi Portal and now see a green bar stating Connected.
